Legal & Clinical Use
Information, limitations, and responsibilities for use of this instruction generator.
Important notice
- This tool helps generate medication instruction sheets and does not replace clinical judgment.
- In public use, no timing is applied automatically: sourced guideline guidance is displayed beside each medication and the clinician sets every timing.
- Institution profiles preset timing defaults only for medication preferences the institution has reviewed and signed off.
- Medication plans must be reviewed by the responsible clinician before use.
- Always verify guidance against your local policy and the latest source guidelines.
- Patient-specific factors may require deviation from generated instructions.
- Do not enter patient names, medical record numbers, or other patient identifiers.
How timing values are set
The public tool displays timing guidance drawn from published perioperative guidelines, with the source cited alongside each medication; the clinician reads the guidance and sets each timing themselves. Institution profiles apply preset timing defaults for medications the institution has explicitly reviewed and signed off; the institution owns those values and their versions are recorded with the profile.
